San Andres 🇨🇴 / Panama City 🇵🇦

And once again it's time to say goodbye.

5 nights in the middle of the Caribbean are behind us, San Andres Island, still Colombia, completely different again. This is roughly how I imagine Jamaica and the other typical Caribbean countries. We live two blocks from the airport and two blocks from the beach. The bus that goes around the island is also right outside the door. Good choice!

Mainly the days are spent hanging out at the beach and I do a total of 4 dives that show a whole new quality of "crystal clear" water. You can imagine it in the photos. Except for the Rastafaris who are still walking around here, the island is more of a place for Colombians and not yet conquered by the rest of the world, which I really like. I think after a while it would get a bit boring, but I don't want to complain.

We will also meet the three guys we met in Medellin again and rent a golf car together to explore the island a bit.

By the way, the rumors that you need a return flight are once again not true and we get to the island and back down without any problems. Furthermore, I am fascinated by the way the airport meticulously throws away all lighters and turns bags upside down. But to sort out, for example, a bottle of wine, with which we traveled in our hand luggage, in the meantime. Strange world. But well, if you have lighters in your pocket, no one notices.

We spent an afternoon in Panama City, which was also quite nice. However, there is now a sense of anticipation because we are going to Roatan / Honduras 🇭🇳, which is in the Caribbean Sea again. NYC is really getting closer...
