Due to the fact that we took our last ride with the 'Helix' at 22:30, we woke up accordingly late and started our journey to Stockholm at 12:40 after a cozy breakfast in the open air.

450 km lay in front of us. Our plan was to take a lunch break at Lake Vättern after about half of the distance. Thanks to Google, we also found a great restaurant with a lake view and supposedly decent food.

On the way to the inn, we had to pass through Gränna, a cute little town right on Lake Vättern. Shortly before reaching the restaurant, we also discovered a campsite right by the lake. Luckily, there was a spot available for us, so we decided to end our day tour here at 15:00 and spend a night by the lake. Attached to the campsite, there were plenty of restaurants with a direct view of the lake. We chose the Greek restaurant and we didn't regret it. Wonderful, just as we had imagined, salmon from the lake and the kids could play in the sand after their initial hunger was satisfied, while we leisurely digested our food. Life is treating us well.

Our children, with their sandy clothes, suddenly had the idea that we absolutely had to jump into the 18C cold lake and take an evening swim. Of course, I joined in. So off to the caravan, into our swimwear and into the lake. But before that, we explored the beach and the area a bit to find the best spot to freeze our asses off.

After two hours of searching, it happened as it had to, I was the only one who quickly plunged into the water. Brrrr, 18C is really cold. But somehow, it's very pleasantly refreshing.

With a slight feeling of hunger, we quickly went to shower and had a small snack. After playing a round of Saboteur and UNO, we realized that it was once again past 22:00, the sun sets noticeably later here in the North. But now quickly to bed.
