About 1,300 km drive in three days from Esperance to Fowlers Bay took us across the Nullarbor to South Australia. The Nullarbor Plain is a karst desert where apparently wild camels exist. Besides roadhouses and other cars, there wasn't much to see. Our highlight was the Bunda Cliffs and Head of Bight. The Bunda Cliffs are 200 km long, making them the longest cliff line in the world - truly impressive to stand at the edge of Australia! Head of Bight is known for southern right whales giving birth to their calves and preparing for the strenuous journey to Antarctica. We saw two mothers with their calves - what a lovely change after the long drive.
