Song: Skrizzly Adams - Dance with Darkness
So the first few days are already over. I've made some progress - at least I don't constantly turn on the windshield wipers when I actually wanted to blink! One must be able to enjoy the little things in life :-D. Otherwise, there is the everyday chaos - from the uncertainty of whether the air mattress actually fits in the car, to the suspicion of having lost a bag with all the charging cables in the car, to an evening when I didn't know where to sleep. But everything has been resolved - in the end, everything will be fine. In the end, how that sounds - it's only been 5 days. P.S.: Don't worry, Mom: The bag reappeared. ;-)
What have I experienced in these 5 days? I have explored the city of Hobart, strolled through the Salamanca Market, visited various viewpoints, and went to Bonorong (bongo-bongo as I call it, because I simply can't remember the name and had to write it down) - Wildlife Sanctuary Park. There I saw wombats, Tasmanian devils, and kangaroos. I was also able to feed and pet a little buddy kangaroo.
I visited different beaches and drove up to Mount Wellington. Unfortunately, the view was not very good, but I will try my luck again tomorrow morning and maybe witness the sunrise up there.
After that, I will make my way to the south of the island. There isn't much on the program there, but let's see what awaits me. One thing is for sure - I will try my hand at surfing. ;-)
Kiss, M.
