The wrong shoes

First of all, we would like to apologize for writing so late tonight.

We had a wonderful day today.

The first half of the day we spent by the pool. Unfortunately, without alcohol, as we had a big excursion planned for the second half of the day.

First, we took the Racer 5.2.0 to an archaeological site called Asklepios. When we arrived, we saw numerous kittens. We walked along a narrow path and were shocked to find out that we would have to pay an entrance fee of 8€ per person to see everything. We both immediately realized that we wouldn't agree to that, so we set off to the second stop, a waterfall. Due to the temperatures, it was completely dried out. But we didn't mind, as it was a dream to explore the landscape of the island by scooter.

So now we headed to one of our two main destinations, the so-called ghost town of Palio Pili. When we arrived and parked the Racer 5.2.0, we noticed that we had to go on a hike to see this ghost town. We set off up the mountain, climbing stairs and a kind of footpath. However, we found that it was a bit slippery with sandals and New Balance shoes, but it didn't bother us. It's not worth losing any words about the ghost town, as the famous saying 'a picture is worth a thousand words' fits best here.

The way back was even more difficult with sandals, like ice skating without skates. So we realized that sandals are the wrong shoes.

'Go see the ghost town,' they said.

'It's incredibly beautiful,' they said.

'They didn't mention hiking.'

'They didn't mention hiking shoes either.'

Once back at the bottom, we took the Racer 5.2.0 to the town of Zia, which is located at an altitude of about 400m, to have dinner and watch the sunset. When we arrived, we settled on the rooftop terrace of a typical Greek taverna and enjoyed a platter for two, which tasted exquisite.

After the sunset, we made our way back and now we are sitting on our balcony again, enjoying the evening with cold drinks.
