Yes, it's time. Today we handed over Egon at the harbor. The last few days we have been packing, cleaning, repairing and selling. Since the ship of the shipping company caught fire and sank, they have been very sensitive with the shipping regulations. Gas cylinders only with a certificate ($150) and the car must be empty. On the way there, the car was actually full to the top, but that's no longer possible. So we sold our stuff from the roof rack and threw away a lot in general. Sorted out clothes and polished the car to a high gloss.
Egon is also making it exciting with his starter problem, the minus temperatures at night are not really conducive. If he doesn't start at the harbor, he will be pulled onto the ship.
In the last few nights, we also had a South America experience.
Campsite number 1 was actually not open, but we were still allowed to sleep there, but the standing toilets (!!!) and showers haven't seen a cleaning cloth for a long time.
Campsite number 2 was actually not a campsite but a farm where you can also sleep. The toilets and showers were great. Only the area wasn't so great. At night, I heard footsteps around our car (it was probably just the owner) and then scratching. But there was no one outside, probably only the house cat. We didn't sleep the rest of the night.
Campsite number 3 was run by Germans. We were already here a week ago with our starter problem, because the guys here also have a workshop and you can park your car here. The campsite is brand new with warm, beautiful showers and warm tap water (the first in all of South America). Yes, we have a knack for that. Here we could dedicate ourselves to the starter problem once again and spread out completely. Plus, there are alpacas living here ;-).
Egon will be loaded on Friday and we will continue to Buenos Aires tomorrow. We still have 2 days there and then we will fly back to Germany.
