On the classic way to the market...

Too hot for the locals too...

After the market we took a walk along the river. Incredible how nice and friendly the people here were. Everyone smiled at us, the kids waved at us and always called us very lovingly 'hello mister! hello miss! what is your name?' The river, not stinky but a mega sewerage, is used here for fishing and actually something is caught here too :D

We also did a small food tour in Yogya and visited a factory for the production of their beloved Bakpia. In order to be more productive, workers here are prohibited from talking to each other... well who believes that...
Feels like 90°C in here....
Each part is individually turned by hand...

In Indonesia it applies: The blacker and more burnt a kitchen is, the better. According to their logic, this kitchen has already been used so much that the cook must be good....

Pool party Yogya style...
