The journey first took us to the Provincial Park Blue Lake. Very original and untouched by nature. Then we continued through the endless prairie landscapes of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Here we are in Grassland National Park, where bison have been resettled, we saw 7. This national park in Saskatchewan is connected to the park in Montana (USA). As everything is so free and flat, every storm appears as a threat.
Improbably, many people have greeted us very friendly, for example, a truck on the highway stopped next to us while overtaking at the same level, honked loudly, smiled at us, and raised his thumb. Another time, the police at a traffic light asked Elke to roll down the window and then simply asked where we come from and waved goodbye as we drove off. The most incredible story happened at a gas station. A young man, about 35 years old, approached us and immediately showed us where the only diesel pump is. Then he wanted to know where we come from and where our journey is heading. He was very impressed and reported that he was on a tour of Germany 2 years ago and had good experiences. Then we said goodbye. When I wanted to pay the high gas bill (over 140 CAD, about 100 €), the cashier said that the young man had already paid the bill. Since I couldn't believe it and asked, the woman only said that the man had won 900 CAD in a lottery and maybe that's why he was so generous. The man was gone and we couldn't even thank him. Great story!
