What do you do in New York when it's pouring rain? You save ET, have a drink with Don Draper, and have a chat with Woody Allen.

Well, Madame Tussaud is not a full day activity and the New York section is terribly noisy. Plus, a big part of the celebrities are still a secret here. Somehow, the wax figure thing has lost its charm and nothing is original anymore.

That doesn't apply to the Radio City Music Hall. Unchanged and well-maintained since 1931. The overused term 'designer piece' truly applies here. Every detail is lovingly crafted and built to last. Although this gem was supposed to be demolished in the 70s. (What a stupid decade overall).

Two weeks before the wrecking ball was supposed to start, the hall was placed under historical preservation. My tip: Watch the movie Radio Days by Woody Allen once and get an approximate idea of what the Radio City Music Hall means to generations of Americans.
