Day 5: Ødis Bramdrup - Nymarkshuse

Good Day or Morning,

I think I heard: D

Often, people just start talking without me being able to say: Please English 🙏

I will take back my words for the day’s recap: Hot can be added again. Hilly and windy remains the same. It started at 9 degrees and was calm. I have no idea when the moment was when I got sunburned...only on my nose, both ears, and right thigh?? Interesting sun rays... Guess I’ll have to apply sunscreen again tomorrow. Must be from the small rays..☢️

The rest is as usual, except today more car-free paths (since there were no people in the village).

Since I traced a route on Komoot using Geovelo (Trick 19), I know where the difference lies now.

Google Maps usually takes the short route, unless there are minimal deviations, then sometimes a quieter path is taken.

Geovelo takes more routes that are car-free, but they are not always checked; some are hardly passable.

Komoot is similar to Geovelo as mentioned above, but it tries to find car-free roads as soon as possible.

So I think there isn't much difference from A to B.

However, I want to highlight the “forest rafting” adventure in Denmark 🇩🇰, which was suggested by all 3.

Here we went through the forest; the path was okay with my tour bike and thick tires, but then without warning, mud, narrow paths, absurd routing, and the best part: unpaved roads (see photos). Wild.

I would describe Odense like this: Ugly on the outside, beautiful on the inside. Worth a visit.

Now that I finally have my first 100 completed, I can ride 120 km relaxed tomorrow; I’m now well seasoned.

Here, finally, I’ll have my own bathroom again; it’s definitely nicer after riding for so long...

It is calm and idyllic outside the city of Odense, definitely worth a visit.

See you tomorrow 🌲
