11.08. Glimmingehus and Hörby

Dɛn dɔn pablish am: 11.08.2019

The night was relatively peaceful, today we will drive about an hour south to Glimmingehus, a well-preserved castle (apparently the best preserved in all of Scandinavia) of Danish knight Jens Holgersen Ulfstand from the 15th century. As experienced Austrian castle ruin experts, we examine everything closely and are surprised that everything is actually in good condition here. The 'castle' is anything but a fortress compared to the Central European buildings. Probably good old Holgersen did not have to fear any attacks here. At least the children have fun chaining themselves to the pillory or trying out the knight games.

On the way back, we stop in Hörby for a round of football golf, which is a bit difficult due to the ongoing storm. Nevertheless, the owner proudly tells us that his facility was the first in Europe and wonders why we already have that in Austria. Strange that no one else is kicking the golf ball during the 90 minutes of play.

In the evening, we manage to get to the pizzeria in Höör by bike this time, after a few communication problems, we get what we order.

We spend the night at the campsite in Jägersbo again.
