After we were already very excited and full of beautiful impressions from Trollstigen/Geiranger, we drove away to find a nice place for the evening. We remembered another interesting place that we didn't get to see on our way in 2018 due to bad weather conditions. The access to the 1500 meter high viewpoint on Mount Dalsnibba was closed last time because of heavy snowfall. So we decided to give it another try, as the weather was warmer today. And it actually worked and it was worth it. The view was more breathtaking than the heights we had seen so far. The air was completely different. The view of snow-covered mountain peaks and the feeling of being above everything that was visible in the surroundings, higher than the clouds or even being able to touch the sky, was fascinating. Europe's highest fjord view had earned its reputation, but it's not for the faint of heart, as the platform, for the right thrill, is suspended in the air and consists only of a grid floor through which you can see 1500 meters down. The surroundings also conveyed the right feeling, as other viewpoints can only be reached via the mountain stones to get the view that you naturally hope for at such a height.
Capturing feelings in such an environment in pictures is very difficult, but we tried to capture a bit of the view, so that you can maybe understand how impressed we must have been.
Completely overwhelmed but happy from all the impressions, we spontaneously booked a nice little cottage between the mountain and the valley to spend our next 2 days there.
