Day 11 - Sand dune hike and last stop in France

Nadine: Continuing along the west coast of France, our destination today is the Dune du Pilat, a gigantic sand dune recommended to us by our nephew Arvid, and the next and final campsite in France to meet Magnus and Tobi.

After a short distance, we spent the first day on the Bay of Biscay and collected seashells near the sand dune.

Simon: Impressive were not only the huge waves, but also the remains of trees that must have burned down in recent years. Machines for clean-up work were everywhere in the forest around the dune.

Nadine: Afterwards, we visited Magnus and his brother Tobi at the surf camp. So this is where we set up camp. Greta and Fridi's setup record is now 5 minutes!

And then an evening walk to the Bay of Biscay, observing the shorebirds until the sun went down.
