Goodbye

Dɛn dɔn pablish am: 13.11.2017

Before our hosts came back, we took a nice hike with Naomi and our foster dog to a lake in the mountains. This time we got a little lost and even encountered a snake along the way. When they came back, we did yoga together one last time, had breakfast, and were kindly bid farewell. Since we weren't in a hurry, we drove back to the beautiful parking lot with a pool and everything in Alferce, where we stayed for 2 nights before the 2 1/2 weeks. Fortunately, Naomi didn't have much time to mourn her new friend, as there were 3 other playful dogs present. Last time we met the two nice English people with a baby, this time it was an older couple from just around the corner - from Siegburg - whose children live in Bonn. The world is so small. They are really cool and we will definitely meet them again one day.

Today we drove on, first to a nice market in Silves. There we had lunch at a typical Portuguese stand and were amazed that everyone around us was already drinking wine at that time (well, we got infected in that moment) and it was completely normal for the waiter to distribute schnapps after the meal. Anyway, you can see many Portuguese people already with beer in the cafe in the morning and wonder how they manage to work.. The food was very delicious and when we made our way back, most of the stalls were already packed up. Many left a lot of fruit and vegetables that couldn't be sold just lying around. Of course, we collected everything we could find and ended up with a whole box! :D Our master plan now is to always go to the markets just before they close. Now we are in Albufeira, where we are parked directly on the beach and have a great view. I immediately tried to continue baking sourdough bread in our camping oven Omnia and it actually worked great. Now we are looking forward to a delicious breakfast :)
