Hello Ubud

๊ฒŒ์‹œ๋จ: 11.01.2020

Hello friends,

Our alarm went off this morning at 6:45 AM, we got up right away, got ready for the day, and packed the remaining things. Then we went to have breakfast, which was pancakes with Nutella. At exactly 8:00 AM, we were picked up from our accommodation and said goodbye to the jungle and hello to Ubud ๐Ÿคฉ.

On the way to the new accommodation, we made a stop at the Gitgit Waterfall. It wasn't as big and breathtaking as the Sekumpul Waterfall we visited yesterday, but it was still very beautiful and I definitely liked the path to it better than the other one ๐Ÿ˜…! The path was wider, shorter, more pleasant, and most importantly... less stairs! ๐Ÿ˜‚

After the short stop at the waterfall, we drove for another 2 hours and then stopped at a restaurant right next to the rice terraces for lunch.

After that, we went to the hotel in Ubud, which was only 15 minutes away. The hotel is really nice, although it could be a bit cleaner in some places, but we don't want to complain, it could definitely be worse. Also, the hotel is very centrally located, which means we don't have to go far to get to the market, palace, and various restaurants.

At 3:30 PM, we went to Monkey Forest. It's a really beautiful and well-maintained park. I was grateful to Mareike for suggesting that I leave my backpack at the hotel. Abbas, one of the people in our travel group, unfortunately had to give his raincoat to the monkeys because one of them went for his backpack and stole his raincoat. By the way, he didn't get it back.

After the Monkey Forest, we did some shopping, took a swim in the panoramic pool, and then got ready for a group dinner.

During dinner, some of us, including Mareike and me, decided to go to a pub. Mareike had to go back to the hotel once, so the rest of the group went ahead to reserve a table for us. We then joined them with Epul, our tour guide. On the approximately 20-minute walk, Epul learned some German from both of us. "I am a monkey
