All day drizzle, clearing up at night
In the morning, the wood stove can be easily fired up with remaining embers.
In the morning, Gerd takes a small walk to take pictures, but doesn't see any moose. The employee of the visitor center/park ranger had informed us that moose hunting starts today.
After breakfast, we drive the car about 4.5 km further up the valley to hike to the Sieimma cabin from there.
It is very humid, the trail starts relatively easy, but with increasing wetness and steepness of the trail, it becomes very exhausting.
We constantly look for views of the waterfalls, whose rushing accompanies us, so it takes us about two and a half hours to reach the cabin. The last meters go steeply downhill towards the riverbank, on the opposite bank we see another cabin that can only be reached by boat.
On our side of the river, the cabin offers the opportunity to fire up a stove and rest in the warmth. We can dry our shoes and jackets and eat everything we brought with us.
After an hour and a half, we start our way back, the first ascent now seems easier to us than the previous descent.
After some time, we meet two female hikers who apparently want to spend the night in our resting cabin, otherwise we are alone in nature.
After about 5 hours, we reach our car again and drive back to our cabin.
We are pretty exhausted, but also glad that we only have to heat up the stew in the evening.
