Day 4 - under the Dome

...Sleeping in until 10:00 am is mandatory today. No idea why, but we're still a bit jet-lagged ;-) Once again, we packed up quickly and set off. Our destination today: National Stadium and Gardens by the Bay. It's oppressively hot outside, as clouds are rare in the sky. By the time we arrive at National Stadium, we're already dripping with sweat, luckily there's an air-conditioned shopping mall. We buy breakfast at the huge Fair Price store. After visiting the stadium including the swimming pool and indoor hall (where the WTA Finals were held recently), we continue along the Marina River. This leads us to the East Gardens. After crossing a "closed" bridge, we reach the main part of the Gardens. But now the heavens open and we seek shelter. In any case, this gives us a moment for a snack. The Flower Dome is next. Unfortunately, it doesn't impress us at all. However, the Cloud Forest with its plant diversity and architecture is impressive. (If you want to know more, it's best to google ;-)

It's already 7:00 pm - time for dinner. Finally, we dare to try some local cuisine. More about that in the photos. To end the day, we had a beer by the "river," if you can call it that... Tomorrow is our last day in Singapore...
