We are heading to the Blue Mountains. Since the train ride takes about two hours, we got up extra early. The train takes us into nature. We drive through the green expanses of the Blue Mountains. Or should I write White Mountains? Because just before our train reaches the final station, we drive into a fog front. The fog persists and blocks our view of the national park. Only the 'Three Sisters' show themselves for a few minutes. But not only do we want to use these minutes for a nice photo, the Asian tourists also want to use them, who are brought to the lookout points in tourist buses. An interesting spectacle to watch the tour groups searching for the perfect photo!
The fog and the rain (yes, it's raining here too) are trying to bring our mood down. But a discovery from the category of 'Strange Signs' does not allow for a bad mood. Apparently, there are interesting toilet practices in Australia in addition to the common 'wild peeing' in New Zealand.
After a short detour to the 'Three Sisters', we decide to take the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. Even though we can only guess the view for the most part, the path is beautiful. Additional plus point: in the forest, the rain is not so bothersome.
After the hike and a cup of tea, we take the train back to Sydney. For the rest of the day, we work on securing vacation videos and photos, updating the blog, and planning the further travels. Because starting tomorrow, we will be proud renters of a campervan for 3 ½ weeks and want to explore the east coast.
We are looking forward to the flexibility of a campervan, which we have missed a bit in the past few days.
