3. - 5.8. - Rain - 2 x Monte Insola

August 3

On Monday it rains almost all day. That's actually pretty good after the heat, but there's not much you can do.

So we cycle comfortably to Iseo, take a walk and finally have dinner.

After a relaxed afternoon under the canopy, we have dinner again in the same restaurant and spend the first cool night at Lake Iseo.

August 4

The next day the sky is still gray and we take the ferry to Monte Isola.

We walk along the shore for an hour, then up and down the mountain and back to the port.

On the way back we pass this island. It belongs to the Beretta family (You don't have to be a weapons expert to have heard the name before)

August 5

It's nice again, but not as hot. We put on our hiking boots to explore Monte Isola more closely.

Very beautiful and sweaty.

The literal highlight of the hike is the church Santuario della Madonna della Ceriola at the highest point of the island.

And tomorrow we're going back home.
