This will be a tribute to Sweden. It took us about 10 minutes to fall in love with this country. The vast expanse, the sea on our right side, and the green grass-covered hills are hard to describe. After killing time in front of the TV on the ferry, we returned to our car and disembarked with the other passengers. Now we set off without a specific destination in mind, just wanting to drive along the sea. The passing landscape is hard to describe. Breathtaking, beautiful, dreamlike... none of these words come close to capturing the beauty of the country.
In short, we stopped at a small parking lot next to the road and wanted to make coffee on the beach with our camping stove. And we landed directly in our paradise. Even now, a day later, I cannot describe this place in words, as no word could do it justice. I am sure I have never seen anything more beautiful. We ended up on a deserted stretch of beach, to the left it continued to a curve, to the right there were cliffs, and behind us was the dune landscape. In front of us, the vast sea, with the low morning sun and the migratory birds searching for their way in their flocks. We sat down on the cliffs and drank coffee. Since we didn't want to move an inch, we postponed our departure as much as possible. But at some point, we had to hit the road again.
Since I had been on my feet for almost 30 hours, fatigue finally caught up with me. We got off at the next village and fought our way through the small forest to some rocks overlooking the sea. There we laid our sleeping mats on the ground, enjoyed the beautiful landscape and the sea. Although I only slept for an hour, I felt refreshed again.
However, we didn't feel like driving far, so we decided to look for a nice spot on the map and head there. We chose a place by the sea that was not near any settlement. This led us to a small part near the village of Gunnarstop. However, we never reached this place as we turned onto a small path just before. Although we ended up in a kind of holiday resort, we found a small peninsula where we could eat undisturbed and then sleep. Again, it was dreamlike beautiful, with small islands opposite us. The night was mild and we chose it to sleep under the open starry sky for the first time. We snuggled into our sleeping bags on a tarp and watched the stars.
