Day 63 Darwin sunset cruise with dinner

Organizing the next days more or less finished, it is time to spoil yourself with lots of food: starting in the morning with a visit a the Parap Village market in Darwin. A small market in Darwin with some clothes, fruit & vegetable stalls and lots of food stalls: from crepes to different juices to the Laksa stall with 2 huge queues, whatever you´re after, it is available... We went for some passionfruit-mango-juice and sweet coconut rice with fresh mangos. The juice and the mango was great, let´s forget about the rest.

In the evening it´s time for the Darwin sunset cruise with dinner offered by Spirits of Darwin. Starting at daylight in the bright sun with beanbags at the front desk to sit and sparkling wine in your hand, the cruise starts with lot´s of information on Darwin harbour. As the sun is going down, it´s time for the starters - very delicious.

Just before sunset the dinner buffet is opened - but first watch the sunset, it takes only about 1-2min from the time the sun hits the horizon to going down.

After sunset the boat drives near the harbour, so you can see the fish you are feeding with some bread. While watching the fish, the crew set up the dessert buffet including fruit salad and passionfruit cheesecake. The cruise was a very pleasant experience and is highly recommended! The temperatures at night are not too cold (or hot) for a nice walk back via the Darwin sign and big wheel at the harbour.
