In Houston, I got to meet a young couple who were my AirBnB hosts. In the evening, they took me to East Downtown to show me the best places.

If you have too much money, I can recommend the Marriott Marquis Hotel. On the 6th floor, there is a rooftop pool and bar with fantastic views. Theoretically, it's only for hotel guests. I don't know why, but after politely asking, the reception gave me free entry. ☺️
