After visiting the city and getting our beautiful stamp, we went in search of an early dinner. We found a pizzeria that I would have left backwards due to the unfriendliness of the staff... Nevertheless, we got our pizza and it was very delicious.
In the modern hostel, the air was very bad and we slept moderately. But at six o'clock, the alarm clock rang and we set off after a quick breakfast.
Today we are heading to the feared Cebreiro, 1400m above sea level. The starting point is around 500m above sea level, so the ascent is very demanding. By 10 o'clock, it is already around 18 degrees Celsius and "cozy" warm.
At exactly twelve o'clock, we had lunch at a fountain and lightened our outfit. It was already over 20 degrees Celsius by then.
After refueling, we climbed the summit not easily but well.
Once we reached the top at 1400m above sea level, we treated ourselves to a hot chocolate. If we had known that there were two more passes ahead... we may not have dawdled so much.
Because we actually thought that our booked hostel was still 33km away. Downhill, of course, and not with another 260m of climbing...
So, once that was over, we found the hostel a little after 6 p.m. To our surprise, we got a room for ourselves with two single beds. Wonderful, and now we were ready to quench our thirst. Take a shower, not a bad idea, and have dinner in the albergue. Once again, we could choose from a variety of starters and main courses; for 10 euros including wine and dessert.
Nothing stands in the way of a good night's sleep.
