After a shared breakfast, we leave our friends and head towards Koroni. The main attraction of the place is the fortress, located on a hilltop. It was built in the 13th century by the Venetians and houses a convent founded in 1918, which is partially accessible. We visit the convent and notice that the nuns are also very business-minded, as there is a souvenir shop on the premises.

We walk down to the harbor, where a charming little promenade awaits us. We sit in a typical café with typically uncomfortable Greek chairs (the ones that make your feet fall asleep after a while) and have a frappé. Then we stroll through the village, which we really like. We pass by a butcher shop with mouth-watering souvlaki, so we buy some to grill for dinner. Let's see if Martin can make them just as good as the ones we had at Platanos, which were the best souvlaki we've ever had.

Next stop is Finikounda, which was recommended to us by several people independently. There are several campsites here, so we first head to Camping Anemomilos, but we don't like it. The pitches are very small, it's overcrowded, and the sea view is blocked by many permanent campers. We continue and try Camping Ammos, where we like it and find a spot for ourselves. We even have a bit of a sea view. We ride our bikes to Finikounda, a charming little village with a beautiful sandy beach and a small fishing port. It has developed into a tourist destination, so you can find many taverns, bars, and souvenir shops here. Back at the campsite, we unpack the grill and Martin tries his hand at grilling souvlaki, and he does a great job!

And now for a premiere! The beach is empty, so we carry the new, still in its original packaging, SUP over there, inflate it, and Martin makes his first, still wobbly, attempts on it. And what can I say? It works better than I expected! So there's nothing stopping us from further attempts tomorrow, this time in front of an audience...
