Yesterday, on the drive from Santiago towards the coast, I listened to an interesting podcast episode about traveling. What does traveling mean? Does traveling have something to do with the place? What is the difference between vacation and traveling? Interesting questions, thought-provoking.

Traveling...

Seeing the world through the eyes of a child. Seeing the spectacular in the unspectacular. Trusting before distrusting. Relying on intuition. Becoming aware of stereotypical thinking and approaching a situation in a new way.

While listening, I feel a bit of wanderlust for backpacking. With backpacking, you are even closer to the people and the local culture.
