D-Day+13: Slowly but surely

ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ: 18.09.2017

So after a long absence, I'm back here again. The reason is that we are slowly getting settled in the city. That means things are going slowly for us and we are currently quite busy.

Let me start by saying that we treated ourselves to WWE Live on Thursday. This was an absolute dream come true for me. It was definitely worth the money.

In the meantime, we have also managed to secure our first job. It involves working in a Halloween shop. Interestingly enough, we didn't really have to do anything for it, because our backpacker friends met the manageress at a party and we jokingly asked if they needed any more people. After a trial day, we were already hired. My tasks include standing in a costume in front of the shop and waving a sign. This job is perfect for me and some funny things have already happened. The best thing was when a group of drunk guys on a stag do ran past me. I was obviously a prompt attraction. It was funny and the drunk guys thought it was cool that the guy in the costume was stupid enough to do anything. As I said, the perfect job for me.

Furthermore, we moved out of our dump, which dares to call itself a hostel, and found an apartment. Here we live together with other backpackers and students from different countries. And all this for no more than we would pay in a hostel.

On Monday, which is today, we had amazing weather and discovered a really beautiful park not far from our apartment. It's perfect for jogging and chilling. But you have to be careful. Because today we witnessed not just one, but two attacks by a male magpie on cyclists. No joke. Google it. They defend their nest quite aggressively and attack people. Since we weren't the victims, it was just amusing to watch and definitely made my day.

So, let's see what I'll do tomorrow, because I don't have to work again until Wednesday. In total, I work 28 hours spread over 4 days a week. So there's still some free time and who knows, maybe I'll secure another job tomorrow.
