Whale watching and island on horseback

This morning at -3 degrees and icy cold wind we made our way to whale watching in Husavik. The city is known for having the highest chance of seeing the giants.

On the boat, we were equipped with an overall and rain cape, and off we go.

The waves were strong and the wind became colder the further we went. However, the view was a dream, picturesque mountains all around us, crystal clear water.

But it was cold, damn cold. I have never been so cold in my life. Brain freeze and the fear that my toes would fall off from the cold suddenly became realistic fears. We just wanted to go back to escape the painful cold.

Unfortunately, we didn't really get to see any whales.

A humpback whale briefly showed its fin, but then disappeared into the icy sea and didn't come back.

After three hours and completely frozen limbs, we arrived back on land.

In our bus, we warmed up and then went to visit the Icelandic horses.

A true dream come true for me today. Riding through the picturesque landscape of Iceland on a white Icelandic horse named Snowwhite. Along the Black Beach, over small mountains and snowy paths.
