25 - 26.6. - Arrival in Cassis - Trip to Marseille

ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ: 28.06.2024

Already at around eleven o'clock we arrive at the campsite Les Cigals. The name says it all, the cicadas are impossible to ignore. After setting up, we ride our bikes into the old town. 100 meters in altitude in just under two kilometers. On the way back, we start sweating.

We eat directly at the beach, and it's not any cheaper than elsewhere in Provence. Not quite Saint Tropez. In the evening, we have a budget-friendly barbecue, which is actually not allowed, but fortunately we only noticed later.

Trip to Marseille

The next day we head to Marseille. Taking bikes on the train is free, and I manage to persuade Katja to bring the bikes.

Marseille is not as beautiful, not a picturesque coastal town, but I find it not unsympathetic. A lovely old town, lots of water, and not as many tourists.
