Tag 45: Layover in Trat

After a lot of jungle and hiking the day before, we had a travel day ahead of us. First, we had to go back from Pak Chong to Bangkok and then drive to Trat in the southwest. Kindly, our guesthouse took us to the 'bus station' in Pak Chong, which consisted of two roadside parking lots. From there, we were driven to Bangkok in a minivan. In Bangkok, Markus and I tried to get three tickets to Trat. We were redirected at least 7 times from one counter to another ticket counter. We still don't know why, but it was still very amusing. After getting our tickets at some point, we continued to Trat after waiting for 2 hours at the bus station. The journey took almost 5 hours. When we arrived in Trat, we took a short taxi ride to our hostel. Since Jan had contracted some infection in his ear from swimming in the pool and was not feeling very well, Markus and I went to get him something from the pharmacy and then looked for something to eat for dinner.
