We are pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela - and further to Sanxenxo November 11th

The rain has stopped...yay...! In the morning it is dry, but since we have no coffee and no bread left, we decide to leave early and drive to Muxia and have breakfast in a cafe. We sit outside with our jacket on and already observe a lot of people with backpacks and many pilgrim accommodations, even though Santiago de Compostela is still about 70 km away.

We prefer to take the green pilgrim bus and drive to Santiago de Compostela! For this purpose, we specifically look for a parking lot that is about two kilometers away from the cathedral and the old town, so that we also have to walk a bit. The scallop shell adorns the sidewalk, so that you can also find the right way, although a few more shells would have been nice for us, as we occasionally get lost...

The old town is very beautiful and we like it, lots of souvenir shops with pilgrim staffs and shells in all sorts of designs. We stroll around and look at everything before we have lunch on a busy square. Then we pilgrimage back to the bus and head to Sanxenxo near Pontevedra. Switzerland misses us :)

Röbi has found a good parking space including everything for 10 € and sent us the address. Since we also wanted to go in the same direction, that fits perfectly of course!

Here too, we are received very friendly by the owner and he recommends a good hiking trail along the coast, where you can sometimes see dolphins in a bay! That sounds promising!

We greet Röbi and Silvia, chat a little and then set off, hoping to actually see dolphins. The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the coastal path is very beautiful. You have a great view of the surrounding small islands and the coast, but the dolphins don't appear...Jörni peeks with his binoculars...but...nothing to see!

We continue our walk and on the way back we stop at the beach with the dog again, here too hardly anyone is to be seen! We sit on the beach and gaze into the distance and then...yes then...they are there! A whole school of dolphins passes by us, about 20 animals...we can't believe it. Some of them really leap out of the water and have fun...and so do we! Finally we have overcome the moose trauma...Jörni is more than happy with 20 dolphins! The Flipper family did a great job! Very good!

Afterwards we walk into town, buy bread and on the way back through the harbor we admire the full moon, which illuminates everything brightly. We are not back until around 8 p.m., have a beer outside with Röbi, have dinner and end the day.
