Monkey Mia was on the list for this day. It was quite cloudy and dark. Although the name suggests monkeys, dolphins can be observed here. Thanks to Serina's charm, we got the family rate and saved money. Just in time for the feeding, we were by the water. Because it was so dark, we couldn't see the dolphins very well, unfortunately. Jana saw her first dolphins. In the café, Jana created her English resume and I updated mine. Then, despite the cold weather, we convinced ourselves to go into the water. We wanted to swim with the dolphins. But at this exact point, swimming was not allowed. We went in for free, but it was refreshing nonetheless! And we also enjoyed a warm shower. We continued on to Francois Peron National Park, where we helped people with a stuck car. But then we moved on. There was a pool of hot springs, where a party group was already present. At first, we felt out of place, but after a while, it was fine. It was pouring rain. I forgot my swim trunks when we left. When we went back, they were gone. Great!!! What a mess, I only had one pair with me.

Basically, today we just drove. We wanted to reach Mount Augustus in the Outback as quickly as possible. But we had planned wrong. Now we were in a mess. Water was rationed, as well as food. Only one meal a day. Not fun at all. At least the camping spot in the evening was really nice and the dinner was good.
