Yad Vashem, Temple Ruins, Bethlehem, Shrine of the Book

Hello my dears, we are slowly approaching the end of our wonderful journey through Israel. This morning we went to Yad Vashem. It is the most important memorial that commemorates the Nazi genocide of the Jews and documents it scientifically. It is understandably forbidden to take photos. We could only take photos of the exterior. Afterwards, we acted as archaeologists in the Zurim National Park. Our bus driver Hussein then took us to Bethlehem, where we initially had our lunch break and visited Shepherd's Field after the break. Back in Jerusalem, we visited the Knesset Menorah. It is the main work of Benno Elkan, a Jewish sculptor from Dortmund. He undoubtedly created a monument to the historical identity of Israel. In the late afternoon, we were able to admire the Qumran Scrolls in the Shrine of the Book museum. It was also very difficult to take photographs here. The building itself is an architectural gem. Just take a look at the impressions Meike and I have put together.
