Eine Seefahrt die ist lustig...

09/25/2020. We are awakened to wetness in the morning. It rained all night and there are no signs that it will stop in the morning. While dismantling the bed, Yasemin notices that our large curtain, which separates the driver's cabin from the cargo area, is completely soaked.

Shortly afterwards, we also discover the cause. Water is dripping from the ceiling above the passenger seat onto the curtain every few seconds (fortunately).

We remove the ceiling lining and see that it is leaking through a roof duct.

Fortunately, we brought sealing compound. We quickly seal the leak from the inside and outside.

We spread out all the wet towels and turn the heater on full blast during the drive. The dull and wet day invites us to start listening to the audiobook of The Lord of the Rings.

The forecast for the day is wet and cloudy. Our goal for the day is to drive to Gedser. Tomorrow, the ferry to Rostock is scheduled to depart from here.

After a short stop at a fresh water station and a brief visit to Nykøbing Falster on the way, we reach our destination around 5:00 pm.

The southern cape of Norway is adorned with small cliffs. Stairs lead down to a rocky beach where many anglers gather. We walk along the beach. Then we take a seat on Beppo. With whipping wind and cold air, a beautiful sunset on the horizon unfolds before our eyes.

Saturday feels like Sunday to us. The ferry leaves at 1:30 PM. Since we slept only 5 minutes away from the port, we are not in a rush.

In Gedser, we buy some snacks again and then take another good hour's nap.

At 1:00 PM, we go to the gate with Beppo. Just before half past, all cars are allowed on board. During the short two-hour journey, we pass the time with short walks across the different decks and playing cards.

When we arrive in Rostock, we are greeted by sudden rain, so we don't plan much for the day. In Dolgen am See, located to the south, we find a place to spend the night.
