Drive to Tirana to the airport. The bumpy return trip takes us by car through the hectic traffic on the SH 1. We are surrounded by motorcycles and flashy SUVs, and the drive through Shkodra to the SH 28 shows us, by the side of the road, a neighborhood where women approach the cars with sleeping toddlers in their arms, asking for some money. We find the airport easily, but our pre-booked hotel leads to a long search. Then we encounter two men who seem to know where our accommodation is located. They offer us a rental car or various taxi rides in exchange. We kindly accept their business cards, indicating that we would definitely call them should we need anything. Once we arrive at the hotel room, we are exhausted and start off by taking a nap under the cooling air conditioning. Afterward, we have something to drink and eat, spend our last Lek, and prepare for check-in. Everything looks straightforward, and we set our alarm for 3 AM on 04.09.2024. The flight to Dortmund leaves at 6 AM, and we are reminded to be at the airport 3 hours before departure. The plane is full, and the noise level reflects that. By around 9 AM, we arrive in Dortmund, and now it is time to process all the impressions. It was a unique experience that we could not have received so intensively from any travel company, thanks to Goran and his knowledge about culture, politics, and much more. For that, I want to sincerely thank Goran and everyone involved who contributed to the success of this extraordinary tour.
