Thursday, 13.1.22 - When flights were also canceled because the airline has suffered losses in its workforce due to Corona, we had to rebook. We tried for a whole 4 hours yesterday - without success. Our 4 credit cards were not accepted for some reason. Finally, with the help of the secretary, we managed to do it, and I hope everything is correct now. Now it only depends on Corona. Today we learned that the moving company, which was supposed to pick up the furniture and things from the previous owner, which are stored here in the house, has to reschedule the appointment because 70% of the staff is infected with Omicron. Unbelievable. Everything remains uncertain, which makes it exciting but also unnecessarily exhausting.

Two days ago, we visited a couple who belong to the community, but cannot attend the church service due to their illnesses. They live about 35 minutes away from here in a villa area. Their house is surrounded by a huge park (5500 square meters) with beautiful trees, plants, a waterfall, and much more.

It is actually raining right now, the 2nd time since we arrived. Maybe this will save watering once. You can tell, I can't think of anything else anymore. I'm a bit exhausted because yesterday's failed flight bookings took a lot of energy. Because sometimes we had one flight and we still needed the 2nd one for us. Another addition from Martin's work: today he had a video conference with all the sent Lutheran pastors from North and South America, that is, from Ottawa/Canada, where they are sinking in the snow, to South Chile. The work is as different as the climate zones, geographical and political structures. Really exciting.
