Camptour 23rd part: Whistler

I thought I had already written about my last visit to Whistler, but apparently I didn't. When I was in Whistler in November, there was snow everywhere (well, at least in the forest, the roads were more muddy).

This time the snow was gone and the temperatures were much higher. The sun was shining from the sky and we got quite warm during our walk from the campsite to the city. The campsite is located just outside the village, but the route is comfortable to walk. Whistler is a cute little tourist town that I like because it has a car-free downtown. In the small streets of Whistler Village there are many small shops, bars and restaurants. And of course the obligatory souvenir shops :)
Almost all hotels are located here or in the surrounding area, so there are lots of tourists.

The night was quite stormy and since we were standing right under the trees, we had the feeling several times that big branches were crashing down on us. When we looked the next day, there were actually branches, at least one slightly larger and many small ones. But the worst were the - I have no idea what exactly they were - little things that fell from the trees. They stuck to the shoes, in the shoes and everywhere else they could. We had to scrub our feet thoroughly, they stuck so stubbornly. I actually had to throw away my flip-flops afterwards because I couldn't get the things off :(
