Ab in den Norden / Tane Mahuta & 90 mile beach

ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ: 07.08.2017

So yesterday we went up north from Auckland. On the way, I realize that we will actually have the opportunity to check off the first item on our list. Off to Tane Mahuta to admire the oldest Kauri tree in New Zealand.... impressive & in hindsight not such a good idea when we realize at 6 p.m. that it's too late to check in at the campsite xD Thanks to Campermate and a suuuuuper nice ranger owner, we are allowed to drive to the site at night - she leaves the gate open. On the way there, we pass a herd......WILD HORSES....WILD HORSES!!!!! We quickly get out of the car, climb a hill, and hear horse sounds all around us...amazing....

When I wake up today, I hear the sea roaring and it's warm - 18°. Winter on the North Island. And we get in the car - off to the 90-mile beach - which is right outside our door - which is empty and we race the car on the beach!!! Item number 2 on the bucket list - check!!!
