Niagara Falls July 3 - July 4

On JULY 3rd drive from Boston to Niagara Falls.

But first, let's pick up our rental car a few blocks away at Budget.

On the way, we'll experience our first toll fees at bridges and certain interstate sections. Sometimes you can't even pay, instead, your license plate is scanned and recorded automatically. Let's see what charges we'll get.

We've already booked a hotel in Germany for Niagara Falls.

The hotel is a disaster, a terrible place to stay.

Marie can't stay here - we check out after a short time. Marie finds an alternative and navigates us through the city until we suddenly find ourselves at the Canadian border!

OK, the border officer lets us pass after a few questions.

Phew, made it!

On one hand, we're already impressed by the sight of the waterfalls, on the other hand, we're overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle on the streets (like at Oktoberfest).

In the evening, we can witness a fireworks display set off over the waterfalls. At the same time, the waterfalls are illuminated with powerful beams of light! An impressive spectacle.

The next day, we take a boat that takes us very close to the waterfalls - thanks to the plastic ponchos handed out to us before the ride, the situation is spared.

An incredible experience!

Now we cross the border to the other two waterfalls on the American side. To do this, we have to walk over a bridge and answer the border officers' questions again before we can pass.

We'll face the same thing when we return to Canada.

In the late afternoon, we'll head back to the USA towards New York City.
