Genießt die letzten Tage Neuseeland 💕Жарияланды: 23.03.2019
Hey guys,
those were two really exciting days!😊
After waking up in a "real" bed yesterday after a long time, we enjoyed this relaxed scenario and started the day really relaxed! In the afternoon, we had the aforementioned meeting with "Sebastian" about our car. Together, we drove to a nearby car workshop where he had the car checked. It turned out that the car has a few minor dents but is still in very good condition for its age.
After a few hours of consideration, we finally received the eagerly awaited message from Sebastian! He bought the car! So we registered the car, made the handover, and both of us felt a huge relief.
In the afternoon, we attended the official memorial service for the victims and families of the attack here in Christchurch last week. The Imam of the mosque gave a speech that was truly one of the best speeches I have ever heard in my life! About 3000 people mourned and prayed together for what happened last week. It was an incredibly touching event that I will never forget. It showed me once again that such acts should not divide us but bring us together. The New Zealanders are an example for the whole world in this regard, and I can only recommend everyone to watch the speech.
In the evening, we sat together with our colleagues from the hostel for a while. We chatted, laughed, and had a few beers.
This morning, we took it slowly again. We slept in, got ready, and then went into town to prepare for the rest of our trip here in New Zealand. We took care of a rental car that we can pick up tomorrow. The car is a Toyota Prius. It's small but nice and will do what it's supposed to do. Get us from A to B and provide enough space to sleep.
Other than that, we sent a package to Germany today with many things that we would like to bring with us but no longer fit in our backpacks.
An expensive matter, but definitely worth it.
We spent the evening again with our hostel colleagues and tomorrow we will continue exploring the rest of this indescribable island!😊
Greetings from Christchurch, New Zealand!🇳🇿
Your Tim!😊
