Today is our last day in Bled, and following another tip from our hostel father, we set out to explore the Vintgar Gorge. Since our hostel is a bit outside and already in the right direction, we can take a nice walk there. Contrary to most tourists, we start the gorge downstream at the 16-meter-high Šum waterfall.

For 10 euros entrance fee, we walk through the approximately 1.6 km long gorge, which is located in the Triglav National Park and 4 km away from Bled.

Bled surroundings We pack our backpacks and thank the hostel father once again. We have used all the recommendations and all were amazing, the hostel is lovely with a beautiful garden, a bit outside but quiet and all within walking distance. Therefore, hostel recommendation: 'Hosteller', Bled. We take the bus to Ribčev Laz at Lake Bohinjsko jezero (German: Wochein Lake), where we will stay another night. In the twilight, when the day tourists have already left, we explore the lake and the small town.Same destination 😊 Lake Bohinjsko jezero Bridge and Church sv.
