Today we walked about 20 minutes to Mindil Beach in the late afternoon. Gradually, the beach filled with multicultural Australians, all watching the sunset together in a relaxed manner. In the background, a few aborigines accompanied the setting sun ☀️ into the ocean with rhythmic singing using wooden instruments. Unfortunately, it wasn't as romantic as it sounds, as most of the aborigines we saw appeared poor and thrown out of their time, into a life they did not choose.
Often a sad sight...
After the sun sank into the sea, everyone on the beach spontaneously applauded for the magnificent natural spectacle! 👏👏
Yes, the most beautiful things are still free!
Afterward, we strolled through the adjacent sunset market, enjoying the relaxed, colorful atmosphere. We treated ourselves to an Asian curry and listened to exotic and Australian musicians.
Shortly after, Moritz turned into Crocodile Dundee after discovering the real CD hat at a stand with crocodile skulls, crocodile claws as backscratchers, and even more curious things. We were assured that everything was made from "recycled" crocodile 🐊
OK, we hope so!
