First of all:
Foot is working again!
I did it! You're not supposed to, I know, but whatever, I did it: I cut open the stupid blister on my sole. It was great! I did the first aid course and the hospital internship exactly for situations like this. 😜
And so I was able to walk the last stage from Mardorf to Loccum, we encountered a short bout of sleet, otherwise it went well.
And now - as I write this - it's 9 o'clock and I'm in Copenhagen.
Let's see how this day treats me. I'm taking a big risk. The ICE train started in Celle just after midnight, I didn't propose. In Hamburg, I switched to the DB IC Bus. At some point, it drove onto the ferry:
Ferry up, bus in, ferry down.
(Well, not quite. There was still a lot of shouting between the ferry vehicle attendant and our bus driver. They shouted loudly and passionately.... and for a long time: when we came back to the bus after 45 minutes, they were still shouting. Crazy!)
Then I actually had to show my ID to the Danish police at the border control.
The last time I did that was on a class trip through the East Zone to Berlin.
My very first impression of the city:
The women are cool and sunny, the weather is beautiful, the coffee feels very relaxed, everything is a bit thin.
Wait... something's not right! Something got mixed up. These are the first lapses due to lack of sleep. I said I was taking a big risk and just skipped sleeping once.
And now it's catching up with me.
My plan is actually to stay awake until 8 pm and have amazing adventures before going to bed.
I wonder if that will work.
