Hello Hello Sweden / Norway

Жарияланды: 23.05.2023

After our short vacation in Switzerland, we set off on our journey again. At first, we drove many kilometers, in Germany with a short detour to Lübeck, and the next day we arrived in Denmark on a ferry with quite a rough sea. On 17.05.2023 we finally landed on Swedish soil coming from Copenhagen over the famous Öresund bridge. On the same day, we visited Malmö for a few hours.

The nights have become cooler again, even in the north we have been struggling with cold nights until now. And here everything works much more digitally. Often the check-in at a camping site is done online and with a credit card. The streets are also much less hectic, at least in Sweden. In southern Europe unimaginable...

On Ascension Day, we visited the small town of Helsingborg. And then we continued to Kullaberg. However, it was quite crowded and seems to be a recreational area for this region. Therefore, we drove directly to our campsite, which was located in Jonstorp, about one kilometer from the west coast, on a farm. We were allowed to meet the Ineichen family the same evening, a family from Lucerne who are traveling with a camper with a Finnish license plate. Yes, we were a bit confused...

On 19.05.2023 we put on our trekking shoes in Jonstorp to explore the Swedish coastal villages (including Svanshall). We walked a good half marathon. So now we would be fit for the Lucerne Marathon, but we still have to work on our time. Reto was faster already... :-)

The next day we wanted to camp 'wild' for the first time in Sweden. We informed ourselves in advance with the Park4Night app where there are nice places. On the way to our destination, we admired a lot of different landscapes of southern Sweden. Our destination was finally located at an idyllic Swedish lake, almost like in a picture book. Only the nearby road bothered us from time to time.

Wild camping was a great experience. We had a good night and could admire a beautiful morning atmosphere at 4 o'clock in the morning - at least Reto did.
On our way to Trollhättan, we crossed many forests and small lakes. Unfortunately, we haven't encountered a moose yet. Or to put it another way, Oski has not yet had to pass a moose test. Trollhättan is known for its ship lock stairs (at least 4-5 levels). And we were able to experience a ship lock passage live. We spent the night at a harbor in Mallrud on Lake Vänern.

On 22.05.2023 we hiked a bit more in the nature reserve of Lake Vänern and continued to the small village of Haverud. In this village, a work of engineering art was built. The lock technology was reinvented. See photos. We spent the night again near a lake close to the Norwegian border.

Today we arrived on Norwegian soil. We made a detour to Oslo for a few hours. The Opera House and the Royal Palace impressed us. Unfortunately, we did not personally meet the Crown Prince couple...
In the late afternoon, we experienced a traffic déjà-vu like at home. We thought we wouldn't encounter that in the north. Tonight we are at Max Camping in Kongsberg. One of the most beautiful places so far.

Tomorrow we will continue towards southern Norway. See you soon.
