The remaining days in July

28.07. - 31.07.2019 from Markranstädt via Mühlhausen, Erfurt, Blankenstein and Teutleben

Mileage upon return: 7984

Shortly after the sun had gained some power, we went for a morning walk by the lake. Even in Markranstädt there are some tough people who jump naked into a freezing lake in the morning (probably have Scandinavian roots).

Afterwards we drove to Mühlhausen, packed and unpacked some things and then continued to Erfurt.

Finn and Mom cooled off in the Gera river, Marley was a bit more reserved again, apparently it wasn't hot enough around.

After a round on the playground we visited Grandma and Grandpa König, swung a bit, ate cake and dinner. The night in the camper was very muggy, unfortunately we had to close the windows around 3 o'clock because it was raining heavily. The next morning there was no trace of the water anymore.

After a royal breakfast we went to Rosenthal am Rennsteig OT Blankenstein for the apartment handover. We're not quite sure if the furniture truck can handle the gradients of 12% and more, if necessary we all have to pull and push a bit.

After the handover we went to Teutleben to Grandma and Grandpa Meister. There was only one shower left and then off to bed.

The next morning we cleaned up the camper and finally returned it to the Teichmann family.

After a good 4000km we said goodbye to 'our' camper, a little wiser in terms of camping, with many ideas for change and future vacations. This won't be our last camper trip and this blog is not over yet, after all, Dad, Mom, Finn and Marley will continue to travel, with or without a camper.
