Waking up with the sun over the tent and rolling over again, listening to the children, birds, and dogs for a while and then falling back asleep, just like that - that's small happiness.
Getting a good coffee, scrambled eggs, and fresh caraway bread at the forest pool is a wonderful hospitality that we can experience. If the day starts off so relaxed, there is no reason to stress. So we spent the last two days doing what felt good to us. One wanted to sort things out quietly (and finally get the socks in contact with water and soap 😊), the other to go for a run with the playlist that colleagues shared and then eat everything that can be fried in fat together at the Czech snack bar. I'm not sure if lángos, onion rings, or vegetable fries won, but everything was delicious. The kiosk at the forest pool has become our good friend, as well as the cold beer after the cool bath.
The second day without a backpack was also planlessly good, walking and taking all the little towers, peaks, and chimneys that lie on the way to the next good village pub along the way. We know many of the paths, having already walked them with friends, and we indulge in these memories while walking. I still remember exactly which path I had conversations about enlightenment on or which rock crevice I jumped over with my godchild, such beautiful moments to enjoy again. These will be the last kilometers on familiar terrain!
On the way through the beautiful area here, I was very impressed today by how dreamily sleepy and at the same time well-kept the beautiful old Umgebinde houses stand in their farm gardens on the stream beds.
This lived tradition, appreciated but not overloaded, is a feast for the eyes. The landscape with its wild and delicate sides has flooded my head, and it can be felt how other often burdensome things fade into the background. Distance arises not only through distance but also through filling it consciously with beautiful things. In everyday life, this is often difficult, but with the freedom to not have a timed plan, it is easier.
