So the next visitor =): Trutz.. long awaited here in the blog. And now he's here:=)
Just before that, we found a buyer for our Vani. A nice couple from the Netherlands.
Good and sad at the same time. For the occasion of the day, we put together a soup in a restaurant in Melbourne ourselves and it was then brewed and served to us. We clearly underestimated ^^ You could choose every ingredient in the world, or at least it felt like it.
Of course, on the way to Adelaide, we take the Great Ocean Road. We went surfing in Torquay for another two days. This time it was a bit colder. We had to put on the wetsuit=) And no shark in sight=)
Of course, we revisited all the hotspots of the Great Ocean Road that we also visited with Thomas.
Unfortunately, Caro broke her little finger on the last surf day... no big deal. only the left hand =) Only the doctor's bill was high. But we have travel insurance.
So we took many free campsites with Trutz.☺️
Petrified forrest:
We also went back to the Grampians. Trutz's camera took really nice pictures there.
Our Vani also had to go for the 'TÜV' = road worthy. In the first round, it unfortunately didn't pass, so we had to have the rusty roof repaired for 2 days in a small workshop. By Vince, an about 62 year old Australian, at a friendship price, of course.
There is a Blue Lake near Mt Gambier. Which changes from gray to blue within three days only in the summer. The science still hasn't found a reason for this. Crystals are suspected as the cause.
There is also a sinkhole in Mt Gambier. Many plants were grown there and turned into a garden years ago. Every evening, possums come by and want to be fed. Many beehives can also be found. And a wild Trutz ^^(this is an insider)😁😂
Heading towards Adelaide, there was also a Pink Lake and Salt Lake.
Drone shots weren't neglected there either.
Adelaide as a city is relatively uninteresting. There are many opal shops=)
Further north is the Flinders Range National Park with the Alligator Gorge. Another great spot for hiking.
So the days went by very quickly with Trutz. And then we had to sell our Vani on 13.02.20. But before that, we could spend another 2 days, who could guess it? Yes, exactly, in the Grampians.
After we sold Vani, we packed up heavily and went to the airport in Melbourne. And off to Perth!
Perth is a beautiful city.. beautiful stone houses and also the harbor.
We stayed in an old prison.. yes, there were also escape attempts here in the past.=) The accommodation was really nice.
The Quokkas
Off to Rottnest Island:
Short ferry ride and before we could pick up our rented bikes, we had already spotted 5 Quokkas. They are so cute and trusting. We met them again and again all over the island and took pictures.
Officially, you are not allowed to touch them, but how to take selfies with them is described on big signs=)
In any case, they feel super soft * hehe
Unfortunately, the day went by way too quickly.....
But the pictures and memories remain
For now, the return flight.
For now!♥ ♥ ♥
