How about Helsinki?

January 2018.

Spontaneously, we decided to take a short trip to Helsinki!

Why Helsinki? Good question, let me give you a brief introduction:

We didn't want to just stay somewhere in Germany, that seemed a bit boring to us and didn't give us the feeling of being on a distant vacation, which we desired. After a few glasses of wine, we thought about where would be far enough away while not taking too much time.

We considered half of Europe, but quickly realized that there are actually only two options: England or Ireland, simply because we feel like it... or should we save that for next time? After all, I was in England last year and I'm already flying to Ireland this summer.

We kept pondering until the playlist of Sunrise Avenue played! We looked at each other and in unison, we said: 'HELSINKI'!

It's supposed to be a great city, definitely exciting... and a challenge! YEY! Unfortunately, I can't put into words how euphoric, loud, and full of anticipation we were. We were like overeager teenagers!

We found the place, the date is set, at least for us, our friends don't know yet! We decided on Easter, it's not too far away and the travel time is manageable. Unfortunately a bit short, but of course, it's also a matter of cost.

The story behind the whole idea is quite simple and nothing special, because who wouldn't like to take short trips and city trips with their best friend? We have been waiting for this opportunity for many years. We encountered a lot in our lives that prevented it all these years. That's why we are even more excited now to finally start and enjoy life!
