1. Night in Roger!

After leaving Delicia and Adriaan in the evening, the first night in Roger arrived.

Adriaan had recommended us a place by the sea where we could spend the night comfortably.

However, the first night was not particularly quiet as this parking lot seems to be a popular spot for evening parties for young people.

When we crawled out of our van the next morning, there was already a lot of activity on the beach. A man named Paul approached us and offered us coffee. We graciously accepted the offer.

It turned out that Paul is a very kind person and has helped many tourists before. Paul is also a passionate traveler himself and is familiar with the problems backpackers face, so he offered to further expand our van. Domi, of course, did not pass up this offer... so we spent the whole day working on Roger to make him even more perfect. 

In the evening, we left Paul and headed towards Northland...

We are looking forward to meeting our new friends from Auckland again. However, we are also glad to leave the city behind and start heading towards Northland.
