06.-10.03.2022 โ€ข We took the bus from Cairo for 10 hours to the Siwa Oasis, which is only a few kilometers from the Libyan border and is in the middle of the Sahara. Time stands still here. There are hardly any cars, but dozens of tuk-tuks and donkeys. The people are extremely hospitable and are happy to see the few tourists who come to Siwa. It's a great place to be with towering sand dunes, salt ponds, and lots and lots of palm trees.
