31.01.-07.02.2022 ย โ€ข ย From Jerusalem, I took the (free) bus to Kibbutz Ein Gedi, which is located on a hill directly by the Dead Sea. There, I managed to find the cheapest place to sleep in Israel: โ‚ฌ12 per night for a whole 6 sqm where I could pitch my tent. I liked the place from the beginning and decided to spend a little longer here, enjoying the peace and quiet of the unique surrounding landscape, only occasionally interrupted by the reggae music from the camp or passing helicopters. Every day I met new people who rarely stayed for more than one night, so I got to know many of them in a short time. When I had to say goodbye to this special place after a whole week, I was a little bit sad... but the urge to move on was stronger...
